The US state of California is going through one of its worst droughts in hundreds of years. Farmers are running out of hay to feed their cattle. The price of a load of hay has risen from around $5,000 to $7,500 over the past month, according to local ranchers. Some farmers have resorted to taking their cattle to auction instead of paying for feed.
