Flooding in central Europe hits towns in Germany and Austria

Persistent rain across Europe has caused major flooding of rivers in Germany and Austria. German Chancellor Angela Merkel visited the town of Passau in Lower Bavaria and pledged financial aid and military assistance to help with the recovery
